Torbjorn Larsson is the founder and president of Paradiddle Communications. During a 25 year career in wireless systems engineering, Torbjorn has worked with a multitude of wireless systems, including Wireless Personal Area Networks (Bluetooth,WiMedia), Wireless Local Area Networks (802.11a/b/g), cellular (GSM/EDGE,IS-136,cdma2000,WCDMA), satellite (ORBCOMM GEN2), and various other proprietary systems. He has also participated in several DARPA programs, including NSC (Novel Satellite Communications) and WANN (Wireless Adaptive Network Node). Torbjorn's professional experience ranges from wireless interface design including modulation, coding and MIMO schemes, to wireless modem and radio transceiver development. He has held various positions as Principal Engineer, Manager and Director in wireless industry in San Diego and the Bay Area, including semiconductor industry, handset manufacturing industry and fabless IC companies. He is the author of 11 patents. Since 2003, he is a wireless systems consultant, specializing in wireless modems and custom DSP solutions for wireless transceivers. Torbjorn holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden. |
